EMDR addresses the neurophysiological basis of traumatic experience. Level 1 training equips the therapist to begin to us EMDR techniques effectively.

 

Prerequisites :	Qualifications for attending A clinical background is necessary for the effective application of EMDR. Attendance at the workshop is limited to mental health professionals who have a masters degree or higher in the mental health field and are licensed or certified through a state or national board which authorizes independent practice. Intern/Graduate student requirements Completion of graduate level coursework at an accredited school and be on a licensing track under state sanctioned supervision by a licesnsed clinician. Please submit a detailed curriculum vitae/resume and a current supervisor's letter with his/her degree and license number. Exceptions Someone who attends to gain a deeper knowledge of EMDR for clear and legitimate reasons that do not include or imply an intent to practice EMDR.

Certification :	Certification as EMDR practitioner. Certificate issued only after completion of Level I and Level II.
Requirements :	32 hours. 20 hours of workshop training 12 hours supervision.
